First impressions start long before someone walks through your door.
We create polished websites for Australian small businesses. Intentionally simple, thoughtfully designed and built to help you be found, trusted and chosen online.

BELLARINE PENINSULA | GEELONG | AUS.
Imagine driving past a shop with no signage and no indication of what it offers.
Most people would simply keep driving.Now, think about what happens online.Before someone walks through your physical door, they will often visit your digital one. They search for your business to understand who you are, what you offer and how to get in touch.A professional website gives people the clarity and confidence to take the next step.
A NOTE FROM THE CO-FOUNDERS.
We started Front Door Studio after noticing how many great small businesses were difficult to find online. And when we did find them, their online presence often didn't reflect the quality of what they had to offer.That's where we come in.Websites don't need to be complicated in order to make an impact.
They should be designed around what a business, and its customers, actually need.We'd love to help your business make a great first impression.

Front Door Studio Terms and Conditions
Effective date: July 20261. Introduction
These Terms and Conditions govern the services provided by Front Door Studio (“Front Door Studio”, “we”, “our” or “us”) to the person or business engaging our services (“client”, “you” or “your”).
By accepting our proposal or quotation, paying a deposit or invoice, or instructing us to begin work, you agree to:
these Terms and Conditions;
the accepted proposal or quotation; and
the Service and Pricing Schedule applicable to your project.
If these documents are inconsistent, the following order of priority applies:
any written variation expressly agreed by both parties;
the accepted proposal or quotation;
the applicable Service and Pricing Schedule; and
these Terms and Conditions.2. Definitions
In these Terms:
Annual website hosting and administration agreement means the ongoing arrangement under which Front Door Studio hosts and administers the Website through its Carrd account.
Domain means the domain name selected or used for the Website.
Domain handover means moving the administration and control of the Domain from a Front Door Studio-controlled registrar account into a registrar account controlled by the client.
Hypercare period means the 30-day period beginning on the date of Launch during which Front Door Studio may complete reasonable corrections and limited content adjustments under section 15.
Launch means connecting the approved Website to the Domain and making it publicly accessible.
Project fee means the Website design and setup fee shown in the accepted proposal or quotation. Unless expressly stated otherwise, it does not include Domain registration charges, annual hosting and administration fees, additional revisions, additional updates or other third-party costs.
Registrar means the provider or reseller through which a Domain is registered or administered.
Website means the single-page website designed and hosted by Front Door Studio for the client.3. Services and Scope
Front Door Studio designs, builds, publishes, hosts and administers single-page websites using Carrd.
Depending on the accepted proposal, our services may include:
Website design and construction;
publication through Carrd;
initial Domain registration;
DNS configuration and Domain connection;
basic search-ready setup;
analytics or tracking-tool installation;
annual Website hosting and administration;
post-launch Hypercare; and
separately requested Website updates.
Unless expressly included in writing, our services do not include:
ongoing search engine optimisation campaigns;
paid advertising or ongoing digital marketing;
professional photography or videography;
comprehensive copywriting;
logo or brand identity design;
business email creation or administration;
ecommerce systems;
ongoing analytics monitoring or reporting;
legal, accounting, financial, taxation, cybersecurity, accessibility, regulatory or other professional advice;
ongoing information technology support; or
work outside the agreed project scope.
Any services outside the agreed scope may be quoted separately or charged at Front Door Studio’s current hourly rate.4. Project Process and Timeframes
Our standard process is:
The client accepts the proposal or quotation and selects a template or design direction.
Front Door Studio issues an invoice for a 30% deposit.
The deposit is payable within 72 hours.
The client provides the content, information, Domain details and approvals reasonably required.
Where agreed, Front Door Studio purchases and initially configures the Domain.
Front Door Studio provides a draft Website within approximately 14 days after receiving the deposit and required information.
The client may request up to two rounds of revisions.
The client approves the final Website.
Front Door Studio connects the Domain and launches the Website.
Front Door Studio issues the final Project invoice.
The final Project invoice is payable within 72 hours.
The annual website hosting and administration agreement and 30-day Hypercare period commence.
Where applicable, the Domain handover is completed under section 10.
The 14-day draft timeframe is an estimate rather than a guaranteed delivery date. It may be extended because of project complexity, client delays, scope changes, illness, third-party issues or circumstances outside our reasonable control.5. Project Fees and Deposit
A deposit equal to 30% of the Project fee is required before work begins.
The deposit reserves project capacity and covers initial administration, planning, template selection and commencement of design work.
The deposit is non-refundable once work has begun, subject to any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
The remaining Project fee is payable within 72 hours after the final invoice is issued following Launch, unless another arrangement is stated in the accepted proposal.
Current prices, hosting fees and hourly rates are set out in the applicable proposal and Service and Pricing Schedule.6. Domain Registration Charges
Where Front Door Studio purchases a Domain for the client:
Front Door Studio will pay the initial registration charge to the Registrar;
the charge will be invoiced to the client as a separate item;
the client must reimburse Front Door Studio within the payment period shown on the invoice;
initial Domain setup and connection are included in the Website setup unless otherwise stated; and
no separate Domain administration fee applies unless agreed in writing.
A Domain registration charge is generally non-refundable once the Domain has been purchased because the cost has already been incurred.
The Domain registration charge remains payable if the client cancels or does not proceed with the Website project after registration.
Any premium Domain price, restoration fee, change-of-registrant fee or other unusual Registrar charge must be approved by the client before it is incurred, where reasonably practical.
Front Door Studio does not guarantee that a requested Domain will remain available until registration has been successfully completed.7. Invoices, Late Payment and Suspension
Invoices are payable within 72 hours unless another due date is shown or agreed in writing.
If an invoice is not paid:
a first reminder may be issued seven days after the due date; and
a second reminder may be issued 14 days after the due date.
The second reminder may advise that, if payment remains outstanding for 30 days from that reminder, Front Door Studio may suspend, disconnect or remove the Website.
Front Door Studio may pause further work, updates, support, administration or Domain handover assistance while an invoice remains overdue.
Front Door Studio may suspend, disconnect or remove a Website hosted through its Carrd account if invoices remain unpaid in accordance with these Terms.
Before suspending an operational Website for non-payment, Front Door Studio will ordinarily provide the reminders above. Immediate action may be taken where reasonably necessary because of unlawful activity, prohibited content, a security threat, misuse of services, a provider direction or a serious breach requiring urgent action.
Suspension or termination does not remove the client’s obligation to pay any undisputed amount properly due.
If a Website is removed, Front Door Studio does not guarantee that its project history, content, settings or files will remain recoverable. Recreating the Website may be treated as a new project and charged at the fee then applicable.8. Website Ownership and Licence
Websites are created and hosted through Front Door Studio’s Carrd Pro account.
Front Door Studio retains ownership of its:
Carrd account;
Website project files;
templates;
hosting environment;
design systems;
reusable layouts and components;
workflows and processes; and
other proprietary assets.
The client retains its rights in its:
business name;
Domain;
logos;
supplied photographs;
supplied written content; and
other original client-supplied material.
Front Door Studio grants the client a continuing, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use the Website while the annual website hosting and administration agreement remains active, paid and in good standing.
If that agreement ends, the licence to use the hosted Website also ends. The client continues to retain its Domain and original client-supplied content.9. Domain Registrant Details and Eligibility
Where Front Door Studio registers a Domain, it will use the client’s correct registrant and contact information as supplied by the client.
Depending on the Domain extension and applicable rules, this may include:
the client’s legal or registered business name;
ABN, ACN or other eligibility information;
registrant contact details; and
any other information required by the Registrar or registry.
Front Door Studio’s temporary administration of the Domain does not mean Front Door Studio claims ownership of the client’s business name or beneficial rights in the Domain.
For a .au Domain, the client is intended to be recorded as the eligible registrant and holder of the relevant domain name licence.
The client confirms that:
all registration information supplied is true, current and complete;
the nominated registrant is eligible to register and continue using the Domain;
the Domain does not knowingly infringe another person’s rights; and
the client will promptly notify Front Door Studio if relevant information changes.
Front Door Studio may rely on the information supplied and is not responsible for independently determining the client’s eligibility, trade mark position or legal entitlement to a name.
Registering or making a Domain available does not establish that the client has the legal right to use the corresponding business name, brand or trade mark. Front Door Studio does not conduct trade mark, business name or intellectual property clearance searches unless separately agreed.10. Domains and DNS
10.1 Initial administration
Front Door Studio may purchase and initially manage the Domain through a Front Door Studio-controlled Registrar account so registration, DNS setup and Website connection can be provided as a done-for-you service.
Front Door Studio may:
register the Domain using the client’s supplied details;
configure nameservers and DNS records;
connect the Domain to the Website;
facilitate applicable SSL functionality;
undertake verification steps; and
make other reasonable technical changes required for setup.
10.2 Domain handover
A Domain administered through a Front Door Studio-controlled account is intended to be handed over into a Registrar account controlled by the client.
The client must complete the handover within 30 days after Launch unless another timeframe is agreed in writing.
The process may involve an account invitation, internal account change, account push, Registrar transfer or another process required by the provider.
Where the client is already recorded as the registrant, an account handover changes the account through which the Domain is administered. It does not ordinarily change the recorded registrant.
A formal change of registrant will only be undertaken where appropriate and may require further evidence, eligibility checks, forms or fees.
10.3 Client handover obligations
The client must promptly:
create or activate the required Registrar account;
provide any required account identifier;
verify its identity and contact details;
accept the invitation or transfer;
complete required Registrar steps;
update passwords and recovery information;
add its own payment method;
confirm future renewal settings;
enable multi-factor authentication where available; and
check that the Domain and registrant details are correct.
The client must notify Front Door Studio promptly if the Domain does not appear in its account, the details are incorrect, access is unavailable or the handover appears incomplete.
10.4 Delayed handover and renewal
Front Door Studio is not responsible for delay caused by the client failing to provide accurate information, create an account, verify its identity, respond to Registrar communications, accept the transfer or complete required steps.
If handover is not completed within 30 days, Front Door Studio may issue reminders and provide a final written deadline of at least 14 days.
A delayed handover:
does not make Front Door Studio the beneficial owner of the Domain;
does not require Front Door Studio to administer it indefinitely;
does not require Front Door Studio to fund future renewals; and
may create renewal, technical, security or administrative risks.
Front Door Studio will not immediately suspend the Website solely as punishment for a delayed handover. It may pause non-urgent Domain work until the client completes the required steps.
Unless agreed in writing, Front Door Studio is not required to renew the Domain, fund a renewal, maintain the Domain indefinitely or provide continuing Domain administration without charge.
If renewal approaches before handover, Front Door Studio may:
notify the client;
require advance payment of the renewal charge;
assist with an urgent handover; or
decline to renew after providing at least 30 days’ written notice where reasonably possible.
Where less notice is available because of client delay or a late provider notice, Front Door Studio may provide the maximum reasonable notice available.
If the Domain expires or is suspended, the Website, email, booking systems and other Domain-dependent services may stop working. Restoration may not be possible.
Front Door Studio is not required to fund restoration or recovery charges. Recovery assistance is subject to availability and may be charged at the current hourly rate together with third-party costs.
10.5 Responsibility after handover
After handover, the client is responsible for:
the Domain registration or licence;
ongoing eligibility;
account security;
passwords and multi-factor authentication;
registrant and contact details;
billing details and payment methods;
renewal settings and fees;
reviewing provider notices;
preventing expiry, cancellation or unauthorised transfer; and
DNS settings, except where Front Door Studio is separately engaged.
Front Door Studio will not retain the client’s Registrar password or ongoing account access by default after handover.
Future Domain or DNS assistance is subject to availability and charged at Front Door Studio’s current hourly rate unless included in another service.
10.6 Existing Domain-dependent services
The client must inform Front Door Studio of all existing services supported by the Domain before DNS changes are made, including email, booking platforms, ecommerce services, analytics, verification records and advertising services.
Front Door Studio will take reasonable care when changing known DNS records but is not responsible for disruption caused by:
an undisclosed service;
inaccurate or incomplete information;
instructions from another provider;
a provider outage;
an unauthorised third-party change; or
a change made after handover.11. Client Responsibilities
The client must provide, in a timely manner:
accurate business information;
logos, images and Website content;
brand guidelines where available;
correct Domain registrant and eligibility information;
access, permissions and verification codes;
details of Domain-dependent services;
consolidated feedback and approvals;
payment of invoices; and
other information reasonably required to complete the project.
The client must carefully review Website drafts, business information, Domain details, DNS requirements, final content and handover information.
Client delay may delay the draft, revisions, Launch, Domain handover or other services. Front Door Studio is not responsible for deadlines missed because the client supplied late, inaccurate or incomplete information.
12. Client Content and Intellectual Property
The client confirms that it owns, or has permission to use, all text, logos, images and other material supplied to Front Door Studio.
The client is responsible for obtaining required copyright licences, image or model releases, privacy consents, trade mark permissions and other publication rights.
The client grants Front Door Studio a licence to copy, edit, resize, adapt, display and publish supplied material to the extent reasonably required to provide the services.
To the extent permitted by law, the client indemnifies Front Door Studio against third-party claims arising from client-supplied or client-directed material, except to the extent the claim was caused by Front Door Studio’s negligence, unlawful conduct or breach of these Terms.13. Revisions, Instructions and Approval
The Project fee includes two rounds of revisions unless the proposal states otherwise.
A revision round means one consolidated set of reasonable changes provided in response to a draft.
Revisions must remain consistent with the agreed template, design direction and scope.
The following may be treated as additional work:
a substantially changed design direction;
changes to previously approved work;
extensive rewriting;
new sections or functionality;
fragmented or repeated requests;
changes after the included revision rounds; or
work resulting from incorrect or incomplete instructions.
Additional work is charged at Front Door Studio’s current hourly rate.
The Website will not be launched until the client approves the final revision.
Front Door Studio may rely on instructions, information, selections and approvals provided by the client or a person the client has authorised to communicate with us.
Front Door Studio is not required to independently verify or second-guess those instructions unless they are clearly incomplete, technically impractical, unlawful or inconsistent with the agreed scope.
The client remains responsible for decisions, instructions, selections and approvals provided during the project.14. Accuracy of Website Information
Front Door Studio publishes information supplied or approved by the client.
The client is responsible for ensuring that all Website information is accurate before Launch, including contact details, service descriptions, credentials, operating hours, prices, disclaimers, business claims and customer terms.
Client approval authorises Front Door Studio to publish the approved Website.
Front Door Studio is not responsible for an error in client-supplied or client-approved information, except where Front Door Studio fails to implement the approved information with due care and skill.15. Hypercare and Website Updates
Each Website includes a 30-day Hypercare period beginning on Launch.
Hypercare may include:
correcting an error in the implementation of approved content;
correcting a link or button that does not operate as intended;
resolving a minor display issue within the agreed design;
correcting a small typographical error; or
making a limited content adjustment arising from seeing the approved Website live.
Hypercare does not include:
new sections or features;
substantial content changes;
redesign requests;
changes to the approved direction;
new integrations;
work outside scope; or
changes arising from new business decisions after approval.
Hypercare is not an additional revision round. Front Door Studio will reasonably determine whether a request falls within Hypercare.
After the Hypercare period, updates are charged at Front Door Studio’s current hourly rate unless otherwise agreed.
Updates are subject to availability and substantial work may require a separate quotation.16. Annual Hosting, Renewal and Cancellation
An annual website hosting and administration fee applies to Websites hosted through Front Door Studio.
The fee covers:
continued hosting through Front Door Studio’s Carrd account;
applicable SSL functionality made available through Carrd;
continued connection of the Website to the Domain;
administration of the hosting environment; and
reasonable initial assistance with genuine Website availability issues arising within the Front Door Studio-controlled Carrd environment.
The fee does not include:
routine content updates;
new sections, features or integrations;
redesigns;
ongoing SEO;
analytics monitoring or reporting;
Domain registration or renewal fees;
business email support;
unrelated technical support; or
issues caused by the client, Registrar, email provider or another external service.
Excluded work may be charged at Front Door Studio’s current hourly rate.
The agreement renews for successive annual periods unless either party cancels in writing before the next renewal date.
Where recurring payment authority has been established, the client authorises Front Door Studio and its payment provider to collect the annual fee.
The client is responsible for maintaining valid payment information. Failed or cancelled automatic payments remain payable and the late-payment process may apply.
Front Door Studio may change the annual fee by giving at least 30 days’ notice before the next renewal date. A changed fee applies from the next annual period and not retrospectively.
Either party may end the agreement by giving written notice before the next annual renewal date. Where notice is given after a new paid annual period has begun, cancellation takes effect at the end of that period unless otherwise agreed.
Fees for a commenced annual period are not refundable except where required by law.
When hosting ends:
Front Door Studio’s hosting and administration obligations end;
the client’s licence to use the hosted Website ends;
the Website may be disconnected from the Domain and removed from Carrd;
support and availability assistance end; and
the client remains responsible for the Domain.
Ending hosting does not cancel, transfer or renew the Domain.
Before hosting ends, the client may request copies of original client-supplied content still reasonably held by Front Door Studio. This does not include Front Door Studio’s Carrd project file, template, design system, reusable assets or proprietary material.17. Search-Ready Setup, Analytics and Tracking
Where included, Front Door Studio may provide basic search-ready foundations, including page titles, meta descriptions, heading structure, image alt text, sitemap availability, Google Search Console connection, structured-data setup or analytics installation.
The exact inclusions depend on the accepted proposal, supplied content and functionality supported by Carrd and third-party platforms.
Front Door Studio may also install or connect tools such as:
Google Analytics;
Google Search Console;
Meta Pixel;
Carrd analytics; or
another agreed service.
These services do not guarantee indexing, search rankings, traffic, enquiries, conversions, revenue or another commercial outcome.
Unless agreed in writing, Front Door Studio does not provide ongoing SEO campaigns, keyword management, backlink building, regular content creation, analytics interpretation, campaign reporting, conversion analysis or ongoing tracking optimisation.
The client is responsible for ensuring that its privacy policy, cookie notices, consent practices and customer disclosures are appropriate for the tools used.
Front Door Studio does not provide legal advice regarding privacy, cookies, tracking consent or data protection compliance.18. Inactive Projects
Front Door Studio may place a project on hold if the client does not provide required information, content, feedback, approval, access, Domain details or payment.
If the client does not respond for 30 days after a written request, Front Door Studio may issue a final written notice allowing a further 14 days to respond.
If the client does not respond by that deadline, Front Door Studio may close and archive the project.
Front Door Studio does not guarantee that drafts, history, settings or content will remain available after closure.
If the client later asks to recommence, Front Door Studio may require payment of outstanding amounts, reassess scope and availability, charge a restart fee or treat the request as a new project at current prices.
Any registered Domain remains subject to sections 6 and 10.19. Cancellation and Termination
19.1 Cancellation by the client
The client may cancel the project by written notice.
The initial deposit is non-refundable, subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If the client cancels after the Domain has been registered:
the registration charge and other non-refundable third-party charges remain payable;
cancellation does not automatically cancel the Domain; and
Front Door Studio will take reasonable steps to facilitate handover after Domain-related charges are paid and the client completes the required steps.
If Front Door Studio has completed work with a reasonable value greater than the deposit, the client must pay for the reasonable value of work completed to the cancellation date.
The amount will:
take account of the project stage, work completed and costs incurred;
be reduced by amounts already paid;
not exceed the agreed Project fee plus approved additional work and third-party charges; and
be set out in an itemised invoice.
If the client decides not to proceed after the included revisions, the Website will not proceed to or remain at Launch unless otherwise agreed. The deposit, Domain charges, third-party costs and any properly payable amount for completed work remain due.
19.2 Termination by Front Door Studio
Front Door Studio may suspend or terminate services where the client:
materially breaches these Terms and does not remedy the breach within a reasonable period;
repeatedly fails to pay invoices;
supplies unlawful or prohibited content;
acts abusively, threateningly or dishonestly;
asks Front Door Studio to act unlawfully or contrary to provider rules;
misuses the Website or services; or
creates an unreasonable legal, security or reputational risk.
Where reasonably possible, Front Door Studio will provide written notice and an opportunity to remedy the issue.
Immediate action may be taken where reasonably required for safety, security, legal or provider-compliance reasons.
If Front Door Studio terminates a project without client breach and cannot complete the agreed services, it will refund amounts paid for services not supplied, less completed work and properly incurred third-party costs.
Accrued payment obligations survive cancellation or termination.20. Third-Party Services and Carrd
Front Door Studio relies on third-party services, including Carrd, Registrars, registries, DNS providers, payment processors, analytics providers, embedded platforms, email providers, social media services and other software or infrastructure providers.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms, policies, technical limitations and availability.
Front Door Studio’s use, selection, recommendation or assistance with a provider does not constitute a guarantee or endorsement of its future availability, security, pricing, functionality, performance or suitability.
Front Door Studio is not responsible for a third party’s:
outage or service interruption;
security incident;
pricing or fee change;
feature or policy change;
account suspension or decision;
technical limitation;
discontinued service; or
information loss or corruption.
Nothing in this section excludes responsibility that cannot legally be excluded.
The Website depends on the continuing availability and functionality of Carrd.
If Carrd changes its pricing, functionality, technical requirements or policies, Front Door Studio may reasonably need to change the hosting service, future fees or affected functionality, recommend an alternative or discontinue a service that can no longer reasonably be supplied.
Front Door Studio will provide reasonable notice where practical.
If Carrd ceases operation, materially restricts Front Door Studio’s account or makes hosting impractical, Front Door Studio is not required to rebuild or migrate the Website without charge.
Front Door Studio may offer migration or rebuilding assistance in good faith, subject to availability, technical feasibility and additional fees. Migration is not guaranteed to reproduce the Website exactly.21. Privacy, Security and Artificial Intelligence
Front Door Studio handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
Front Door Studio uses reasonable security measures, including password management and multi-factor authentication where available.
No online service, Registrar account, Website, computer or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Each party must take reasonable care when handling passwords, authentication codes, account invitations, recovery information and account access.
The client must promptly notify Front Door Studio if it suspects unauthorised access to a Website, Domain or related account.
Front Door Studio may use AI-assisted tools to brainstorm ideas, help draft non-confidential copy, refine wording or develop creative concepts.
AI-assisted content will be reviewed by a person before publication.
Front Door Studio will not intentionally enter confidential business, financial or personal information into a public AI service without permission.
The client remains responsible for reviewing and approving all final content.22. Content Standards
Front Door Studio may refuse to create, publish or continue hosting content that it reasonably believes:
is unlawful, fraudulent or misleading;
is defamatory, threatening or abusive;
is discriminatory or hateful;
depicts graphic violence;
is sexually explicit or exploitative;
infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
promotes prohibited goods, services or conduct;
contains malicious code;
breaches a provider’s rules; or
creates an unreasonable legal, security or reputational risk.
Where reasonably possible, Front Door Studio will explain the concern and allow the client an opportunity to provide alternative content.23. Backups, Accessibility and Compatibility
Although reasonable care is taken, Front Door Studio does not guarantee permanent backup or recovery of Website content, Domain settings, Registrar information, project history or project files.
The client must retain copies of its original content and, following handover, its Domain, Registrar, recovery and renewal information.
Websites are designed with general usability and accessibility in mind. Compliance with a specific accessibility law, standard or technical level is not included unless agreed in writing.
Websites are designed and tested for reasonable operation on current versions of major browsers and common mobile devices at Launch.
Front Door Studio does not guarantee identical presentation across every device, compatibility with obsolete systems, future compatibility following platform changes or compatibility with undisclosed software.24. Portfolio Rights
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, Front Door Studio may display the completed Website, screenshots and related design work in its portfolio, Website, social media, advertising and other marketing material.
Front Door Studio will not intentionally disclose confidential client information through portfolio use.
The client may request that commercially sensitive work not be displayed. Front Door Studio will consider the request reasonably and in good faith.25. No Guarantee of Business Outcomes
Front Door Studio does not guarantee:
search engine rankings;
Website visitor numbers;
increased enquiries;
increased revenue;
sales or conversions;
business growth;
continuous Website or Domain availability; or
any particular commercial result.
Results depend on matters outside Front Door Studio’s control, including the client’s services, pricing, reputation, marketing, competition, customer demand, search engines and third-party platforms.
26. Client Duty to Minimise Loss
If the client becomes aware of an error, outage, security issue, Domain issue or other problem relating to the Website or services, it must notify Front Door Studio as soon as reasonably practicable.
The client must also take reasonable steps available to prevent or minimise resulting loss or damage.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Front Door Studio is not liable for loss or damage to the extent that it was caused or increased by:
the client’s unreasonable delay in notifying Front Door Studio;
the client’s failure to provide information or access reasonably required to investigate or address the issue; or
the client’s failure to take reasonable steps available to prevent or minimise the loss.
Nothing in this section requires the client to take unreasonable, unsafe or disproportionately expensive action.27. Liability and Client Indemnity
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a right, guarantee, condition or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Front Door Studio is not liable for:
indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss;
loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings;
loss resulting from inaccurate client-supplied or client-approved content;
loss caused by a third-party provider;
loss arising from analytics, tracking or search-platform data;
Domain expiry or interruption following the client’s failure to complete handover, renew, pay, maintain accurate information or secure its account;
disruption to an undisclosed Domain-dependent service;
unauthorised changes made by the client or another provider; or
delay or loss caused by circumstances outside Front Door Studio’s reasonable control.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Front Door Studio’s total aggregate liability arising from a particular project or service is limited to the amount paid by the client to Front Door Studio for that project or service during the preceding 12 months.
Where a statutory guarantee applies and liability may lawfully be limited, Front Door Studio’s liability is limited, at our option, to supplying the relevant services again or paying the reasonable cost of having them supplied again.
This section does not limit liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct or liability that cannot legally be limited.
To the extent permitted by law, the client indemnifies Front Door Studio against third-party claims, liabilities, losses and reasonable costs arising from:
client-supplied content or instructions;
infringement of intellectual property, privacy or other rights by the client;
false or inaccurate Domain eligibility or registrant information;
unlawful use of the Website or Domain;
an undisclosed Domain-dependent service; or
breach of third-party terms or Domain rules by the client.
The indemnity does not apply to the extent the claim was caused by Front Door Studio’s negligence, unlawful conduct or breach of these Terms.28. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified.
Any term concerning non-refundable payments, cancellations, suspension, termination, liability limitations, indemnities or third-party services is subject to those rights.
Front Door Studio will provide its services with due care and skill and within any agreed timeframe or, where no binding timeframe is agreed, within a reasonable time.29. Force Majeure
Front Door Studio is not responsible for delay or failure caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control, including:
internet or telecommunications outages;
natural disasters or severe weather;
illness or incapacity;
fire, flood or power failure;
cyber incidents not caused by Front Door Studio’s failure to take reasonable care;
government or industrial action;
Registrar, registry, Carrd or provider failures; or
other events that could not reasonably have been prevented.
Affected obligations will be suspended for the duration of the event to the extent reasonably necessary.
Front Door Studio will notify the client and resume affected services as soon as reasonably practical.30. Notices, Disputes and General Terms
The client must maintain a current email address for project communications, invoices, renewal notices, Domain notices and handover communications.
Written notices may be sent to the most recent email address supplied.
The client is responsible for checking email and spam folders, responding to time-sensitive communications and updating its contact details.
A notice is taken to have been received when it enters the recipient’s email system unless the sender receives a delivery-failure notification.
A party that believes a dispute has arisen must provide written details to the other party. Both parties must first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith discussion.
If the dispute is not resolved within 14 days, either party may propose mediation with an independent mediator agreed by both parties. Mediation costs will be shared equally unless otherwise agreed.
Nothing prevents a party from seeking urgent relief, recovering an undisputed debt, exercising a statutory right or referring a matter to an appropriate court, tribunal, regulator or complaints body.
Front Door Studio may update these Terms from time to time. Each Website project is governed by the version accepted when it commenced.
An ongoing hosting agreement may be updated where required by law or a third-party provider, reasonably necessary for security or operations, or accepted as part of a renewal or service change. Reasonable advance notice will be provided where an update materially affects an existing agreement.
If part of these Terms is invalid or unenforceable, it will be read down or severed without affecting the remaining Terms.
A delay in exercising a right does not waive that right.
The client may not transfer its rights or obligations without Front Door Studio’s written consent. This does not prevent the Domain handover described in section 10.
Front Door Studio may use employees, contractors and third-party providers to perform its services while remaining responsible for the services it has agreed to provide, subject to these Terms.
These Terms, the accepted proposal, the applicable Service and Pricing Schedule and any agreed written variation constitute the agreement between the parties.
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. The parties submit to the jurisdiction of the courts and tribunals of Victoria and courts hearing appeals from them.31. General Information and Professional Advice

temporary access
instead of sharing a primary password.

review and update its recovery information; and
